Based on the title I had assumed these were solar powered but they're not, they are battery powered (and batteries not included). I wasn't worried about that, just worth highlighting as it wasn't clear. I put they lights up easily and they looked lovely, for 3 days, until it rained heavily. Water got in the battery pack (it was definitely shut properly), and it stopped working. So that was the end of that, the unit must not be well sealed.
