While I would suggest that absolute beginners to Ethereum not start with this book, I'd say this is a great start for someone with even a superfluous understanding of how the smart contracting system works.I purchased it mainly for the examples, and I was not disappointed. My only qualm would be that the examples on the blockchain don't have any transactions against them, which is just a personal peeve more than anything, I don't think most readers will particularly care about that.I'd definitely recommend this to anyone approaching solidity who learns better by example than by reading excessive documentation.
