After reading a review about the Hawke digiscope adapter in Bird Watcher's Digest, I decided to give it a shot. I own a Nikon Monarch spotting scope and like to snap photos and videos from time to time when I am birding. My scope's eyepiece is 50mm (~2") in diameter. The design concept of the adaptor is fantastic, so much better than the screw-on adapter I had before. Just like the review videos show, you slip your phone into the phone holder and align the camera lens with the hole. Then you simply squeeze the sides and clip the adapter to your eyepiece. My favorite part is that I can slip the adapter on and off my scope quickly, allowing me to switch from regular viewing to digiscoping and back again without having to unscrew it or realign my phone every time. I carry around the adapter in my pocket with phone already attached and aligned so that anytime I want to snap a photo I just snap it on. It has made digiscoping so much easier!
