I love these lights, I got them for Christmas a day they were awesome, I only wished they connected to one another but they are individual strands so they hook up separately which was kind of a pain to sequence them unless u had someone to help u plug in at the same time.Description says it all.This is my second set, will be returning like the first. These are garbage for outdoor use, both sets lasted less than a week before breaking.How/why did they break? Because they use 24ga (if you don't know, that's small wire, think the thin crap that comes with budget home theater in a box speakers) wire to connect the lights, which are too heavy to be supported by such thin wire.I had both sets around the roofline of my shed, both sets had their wire snapped by the wind!Then there's false description issue too. Can only change the color for the whole string. Individual bulbs are not addressable, so definitely not true RGBIC lights--fix your description.App is only good for changing color; only way to access their "16 million colors" garbage. Then there's only five different "patterns" to choose from. Don't worry though, it's like there's 10 since the "scenes" make the pattern start either at bulb one, or bulb 50. App also hasn't/doesn't update, even states more patterns are "coming soon," for the last three plus months.Overall, if you like giving your money to Chinese companies that make inferior products that fail to work and are falsely advertised, then these may be for you.The only thing I don’t like is that electrical cord on the lights tangles very easilyI wouldn’t buy again. I bought two and one string no longer works only after two weeks.I love these lights! They are a great addition to the backyard. They have been outside on my patio for six months now through snow, rain, and blistering sun, and they still work great! I really like the programmable options. I enjoy the rainbow colors that pulse in a pattern. Also, the lights remember your settings even after unplugging them!I really appreciate the timer function. I can turn these lights on and not worry about having to turn them off because the timer turns them off automatically. The remote is nice to have but I should mention that it has a very short range. My one suggestion for this product is to extend the range of the remote so that it is more useful. Also, I should note that these are decorative lights and do not provide a ton of illumination but they look great!Smart Color Changing String Lights: $42.99 at the time of reviewThis holiday season I decided that I really wanted to bring my A-game in the decoration department. This meant increasing the number and quality of my lights. Over the last couple of years, I’ve been using LEDs to save on power so I figured, why stop now?*What I liked*:This set has a lot of nice options with regards to the blink and color options. My preference if for multi-color over plain white so of course I went with that. It looks awesome! My personal favorite is the chase options where the colors ‘chase’ one another down the line of lights (blink in order).The set comes with a remote control, which is nice for changing the light type.*What I didn't like*:The first thing I noticed when opening this set was just how flimsy the wires are. I was honestly afraid I was going to tear or damage them and I hung them up. I’m not sure how long this set will last from that perspective.While the remote is nice, you’d better not lose it. You can cycle through some of the functions by using a button on the controller box, but to get all the functions it seems you need the remote.The cost is really high for what you get. I know that these have “dance to the music” ability, but that doesn’t justify $43/string.*The Bottom Line:*I ended up putting these up on the back deck to my house (so they can be seen from a walking trail). They look great from the trail, but I just can’t get over the cost. If I were to put these on the front of my house, I’d need 4 of 5 set to get the coverage I want. It is definitely not worth $200+ dollars to put lights on the front of my house other LEDs without the music sync are less than half the cost). These are a 5-star at $30 bucks, but at $43, they lose one. Four stars out of five. I wouldn’t order these over again at this price.
