This digital electronic balance is composed of a high-precision resistance strain sensor and a high-performance microcontroller. NOTE: Due to air traffic control, our products are not equipped with batteries when they leave the factory. You can plug them in directly or buy batteries separately. The linearity error is ±0.3g. Standard calibration weight is included for your convenience. The manual says there are weights included for calibration but none were in my box nor did a see a space for it. I had some smaller weights and although it wouldn't allow me to calibrate with the smaller weights, I weighed out accurate without calibration. The annoyance made me want to give this 3 stars but it's such an nice quality scale, I just couldn't do it. One star off for no weights.
