...at least in terms of future proofing your investment. It can do it all so you will never have to worry about not being able to do something as your needs and interests evolve. I did not think I would want to cut wood and leather but glad I can since the purchase got me thinking about different things. I am amazed how integrated it is with my computer, seems like whatever I do wrong, like jamming the material, the software knows how to recover perfectly. I have not needed to reboot at all.The only things I did not like about this product was that Cricut has economized on the starting samples, so you will probably need to buy a mat, various tools and supplies. Look at the item list, for it does differ from a lot of the older Youtube unboxing videos, you may be surprised. A bundled kit might be a good idea.The other unfortunate thing is that Cricut, Amazon and others have frequent sales and promotions, less than 3 weeks have past and already there is a special price that is $50 less than what I paid. This is true of materials also. So, while you are trying to determine purchase, one might benefit by taking one's time, and get acquainted in not only the unit, but of the Cricut universe for the most satisfaction. Happy crafting.I was so excited the day that this machine has arrived. I have had it almost a month now and I used it everyday. The only problem that I have on this machine is that when you do a cut project lets just say it takes 2 ore mats to cut for 1 project, after cutting on the 1st mat and when it ask for you to place the 2nd mat in it will do its thing and when you hit the play button it will not work it will error out. Then you have to cancel the whole project out and just make it cut that one mat out. If anyone knows how to solve this that would be really awesome. Other than that I love this machine..This device is extremly hard to use I think it could possibly just be me I see the things this item is capable of but I have had an extremly difficult time with the setupof this deviceI've wanted to invest in my crafting for a long time, and I believe a Cricut along with a reliable printer is the best way to start. So far using the machine has been very straight forward, but the Cricut Design Space does take some learning. There is a ton of help forums and tutorials online to help you though. So far the maker has been very promising, its almost overwhelming to think of all the things you could make. I feel like the hardest part is choosing what to start making! The machine is definitely HEAVY and a bit large, but this is because it is METAL and feels very sturdy. It will be annoying to move around, but very worth it.I can't believe I just discovered this machine! I am so addicted. I'm having so much fun and in time will figure out how to market items I am making. Until then, having the time of my life with this thing. Crazy side note, my 24 yr old son LOVES it too. He's been making his own designs with stickers, iron on vinyl, etc. We just invested in a sublimation printer and a heat press so we can expand on the number of things we can make with this incredible machine. There is a learning curve, so be patient with yourself.Amazing! Don't need to say much because there are no complaints. Only thing is I'm going to put some of my own answers to questions I had.You can still use it without a subscription but you don't get access to all the pre-made stickers and designs. It helps alot to have it.It is very easy to cut without the mat and due a perfect job.It comes with the one basic blade.It is literally the best tool I could have asked for. Crafters will love it!We choose this Cricuit because it said you do not need a mat and it can print upto 75' both are lies. I spent 3 hours with Crcuit to find out you need to use a mat, or or buy their 13" materail which is 3 x the price of Oracle. Plus when I asked to buy 75' vinyl the agent could not find any from Cricuit so the description is a lie. Simple enough we send it back to Amazon but they some special agreement with Cricuit not accept any returns. I asked Amazon to tell me how i would know this before spending $500 on the unit plus supplies and they also could not tell me.spend this kind of $$$ and the item does not work, spent hours trying to get it to update first day just to have it crap out after 1 decal. amazon will not allow you to return this item either have to deal with manufacture to get any warranty on item! waste of time and $$$ over a week now and no machine to useCompletely unsatisfied with this product. The ad says it's compatible with android. What they DONT state is the very limited compatibility. And their refusal to accept my return and give a refund is dispicable. False advertisement. Very very disappointedIt did not work when received please call. I am still waiting for the seller to call I believe this seller should be taken off amazon. This was listed as new and paying a large amount should be able to return which it state on your site not able to return. I believe someone should look into this and get back to us.Product meets and exceeds all the hype around it. Wife loves the quicker cutting speed. We invested in the roll tray and she has been cutting longer images and more smaller pieces.Only con is the price. However, first releases of products come with higher price tags.Amazon should consider payment plan feature for this item, which most likely boost sales
