Used this to weigh items and boxes for a self move. Needed to know the weight I was loading on a Uhaul truck. Having a wireless display head was very, very helpful particularly when putting larger bulky items on the scale. Also makes it easier to move the scale around. When turning off the display head, it will also turn off the scale. The display head uses "AAA" batteries which it will use up fairly quickly. The included AC adapter will supply power to the display or the scale, just not at the same time. I used the AC adapter most of the time for the display. The "AA" batteries in the scale last a fair amount of time.
