Beautiful, sturdy and comfortable mat, exactly as promised.I got this mat for my Fiance. He loves it! It's nice and thick, thicker than mine which is made by the same company but is 2mm thinner (I knew that when i bought it though so i can't complain!). The foam of the mat reacts like (or maybe is...) Memory foam which i think gives a better support for standing poses and is easier on knees and elbows. My one and only concern is that when i removed it from the package it definitely smelled like some sort of chemical. I set it unrolled outside for a day to air out and that made it a little better. The smell is gone now, as it's been out of the package and in use for a few months now. This is supposed to be an eco-friendly mat, so I try not to worry about it too much, but because of that initial smell i still wonder if it might be off-gassing toxins sometimes.mat looks so nice but after 1-month use rubber peel off slowly and makes floor dirty.I wouldn't recommend this mat if you are 1. tall or 2. an experienced yogi that knows what type of mat you like. This is a great mat for a beginner or someone that doesn't want to spend the necessary money on a mat that will last.The foam tears out quick and you will need a new mat in 4 months if you use it often.Love the design, and it serves its purpose. I've only used it a few times; thus far it's doing well, and I'm experiencing no slipping around when doing the excercies. I give it 1-star less than perfect, because it gives off an odor -- not a strong rubbery-type smell, but also sweet. I'm not sure what it's from exactly, but it's distracting and not to my liking. Eventually, I believe it will dissipate. However, it's been 2 weeks, and it's still noticeable to me. When I initially received the mat, there was a gouge/cut near the bottom corner. I contacted the seller and they responded quickly in answering my request, and sent a replacement. I was pleased with how they handled my concern and request. All in all, I'm satisfied with the mat and the processing.Good for use on my already carpeted floor, not very thick, but it keeps me from slipping. And it's very cute, and seems durable.This mat is great. I normally have a lot of trouble with my hands and feet slipping on mats. With this mat I have the grip I need. It has the superior grip of more expensive mats. The only reason I docked it a star was because it smelled horrible when it arrived which I thought especially odd for an "eco" mat. However it did air out quickly after leaving it unrolled and stretched out over some chairs for a couple days. I have not had durability issues like another reviewer. I've been using this mat multiple times a week for several months and it's still holding up well.I originally reviewed this after a few weeks of light use, and was happy. I still like the mat - there is no slipping around and the thickness is wonderful. But now that I have had it for about 18 months, it's starting to chunk apart. The killer is that while 18 mo might sound like a while, the first year I was pregnant and then postpartum, and have only recently been using it consistently. I've stored, washed and cared for it properly, so I'm really disappointed that it is falling apart so soon. Maybe that's the side effect to something not loaded with chemicals and plastics, I'm not sure. I will shop around at other eco friendly mats before I decide what to do.Not used it a huge amount but it is the best mat I have used to date.
