I checked and this scale measured accurately. I liked the rounded corners (less chance of a stubbed toe). 2 AAA batteries were included which was nice. Best of all, it was preset to "pounds". My last scale was in kilograms and I never figured out any to change it to pounds so ended up tossing it.I had a similar scale but took soooo long to turn on and give you your weight. This takes maybe 5 secs. I compared it with my weight at the doctor's office and it was spot on. About a pound higher than this scale, but I was fully clothed at the doctor. I definitely recommend it.This was very affordable. Light weight. I love that it’s black glossy finished. Numbers are digital and it came with 2 AAA batteries you’ll have to install it. However I have pretty small feet (for reference I’m a 6/6.5 in women) so if you’re size 8 and up you’ll be reaching the edge.it takes 3 batterys....but if works great.I am under 300 pounds and specifically picked this scale because it says up to 400 pounds. The first time I stepped on it, I heard a loud crack and thought I had broken the glass! I picked it up and it looked ok but now, no matter how many times i got through the reset process, when I step on it, the numbers just run up and down and won't stop. The first time I used it, I got a solid number but it was off by 10 pounds. I am also upset that this item is defective, yet Amazon will make me PAY $7.99 for UPS to pick it up from me. Ridiculous! I shouldn't have to waste my time finding a place to take it for a return when it's defective!This scale turned out a lot better than thought. Very well made and accurate.It's official, both my husband and I have stretched the COVID 15 (lbs). Been in denial, truth suck BUT this scale will keep us on track to get back to normal for summer. TY.The scale does not work on every floor, does not work on a carpet floor. It works fine on linoleon in the kitchen or bathroom.
