I grew up with an Osterizer blender that was my Grandma's wedding gift, and later, our household blender. I was excited to see this "heritage" model that pays homage to the older, superior metal styles no longer available. I'm not interested in any of the fancy, expensive or ugly, cheaper models on the market and always purchase this brand.Upon first use it was powerful (OJ, frozen fruit, protein powders) and blended the items super fast with minimal powder clumping on the sides. I was disappointed to agree with other reviewers that the noise level is relatively extreme. I read someone else remarking that they considered using earplugs.My ear still hurts 10 mins later!! I will say that if you pulse versus switch to high or low, it's not as loud. I am torn because I like everything else about it. And I have disliked other brands/ models out there.I'll give it a few more tries to decide. Wearing earplugs to use a blender seems insane. But, also easier than making a return :PI had this blender sent to my son’s home where I was going recently to visit for five weeks. They didn’t have a blender which I needed for my daily smoothie. I found this blender to be very efficient in blending my frozen fruit into a delicious smoothie. It was easy to clean. I am very happy with my purchase.I love this blender. I had the same in a rental a year ago and when I needed a blender for my new place I immediately remembered this one. Ordered it. It arrived quickly and so far I've been happily blending. No problems. Does great smoothies.You really cannot go wrong with Oster. This is one of the cheaper models and yet it has the power of my more expensive Oster blender that I had in the past. It blends chunks of vegetables and fruits into a perfect smoothie in seconds. No reblending necessary...its literally done in seconds. It's amazing. You don't need to spend a lot of money on a blender. This is a very simple one and it works perfectly.Making my daily smoothie doesn't require a fancy expensive blender. For me, what's essential is plenty of power to puree frozen fruit with a minimum of liquid. This blender has an on/off/pulse switch with a glass jar, a retro look and -to my surprise- is quieter than the old Oster it replaces. I keep the blender on a pad for noise reduction and to make it easy to slide rather than lift.I saved my old jar. Since Oster parts are interchangeable, I can use the old jar if I break the new one.Easy to use and clean, plenty of Power, What more do you need?Powerful blend my and worth every dollarI know the Osterizer blender a long time ago but always prefer one like this one because only have a very simple switch low power and the high power very easy to select by one switch and easy to cleanI had an older version of this for 15 yearsI am not loving my new one quite as muchIt doesn't seem to work through the frozen fruit as well as the older modelI still very much like the appearance and simplicity and it is good value for the price compared to similarly priced brandsNo había tenido licuadora tan ruidosa, que bárbaros!!Qualité prixvery good machine but a little bit noisygreat machine. durable. powerful. simple.
