This has been installed for several months and there have been no issues with the switch.Easy to install and sync with wired base. I didn't need dimming in the hallway. We have 2 remotes operating one wired base unit.I bought this to add this to an existing system which already uses a remote. Setting it up and installing was pretty straightforward and easy. Well worth the cost.I have an existing three-way lighting circuit on my basement staircase. Unfortunately, the electricians put the upstairs switch in a location facilitated by their ease of wiring rather than the user's convenience and safety. Rewiring to the desired location would have been prohibitive. After doing quite a bit of research the Lutron Caseta Smart Home wireless switch and Pico remote appeared to be the best option. The big box store which sold me the wireless switch only sells the Pico remote switch designed for ceiling fans which might have worked but would add unnecessary complexity to a simple lighting circuit.Once the wired Lutron Caseta light switch was installed (which is entire saga unto itself), programming the Pico remote could not be easier. Using the Lutron wall mounting bracket, the switch can be installed anywhere. Plus the wired switch itself can support additional remotes should that be necessary or convenient. I have subsequently installed 2 additional Lutron wired Caseta switches in the garage each with a Pico remote. I have observed no reliability or wireless interference issues. The remotes are provided with CR-2032 "button" batteries which theoretically should provide 5+ years of service. Nice to know that the battery could be changed out with readily available replacement when required. In summary an elegant solution to eliminate an annoyance which we and the original homeowners have suffered with for 30+ years.Need the bridge but super easy to install with iOS appMy living room had no ceiling lights and no switched receptacles, which was a code violation. During a recent remodel I had a wall torn open and wanted to add switched lighting without crawling in the attic. I ran cable from a wall receptacle to a box in the cellar and installed a Vive Pow-Pak 16A relay module to the box in order to provide multi-location remote switching of the receptacles on that wall. I paired two of the Pico remotes to the Pow-Pak relay, allowing control of the switched receptacles from either end of the room. The relays are rated to switch the full load of the circuit, so I have no concerns if someone accidentally plugs a vacuum cleaner or other heavy load into the switched receptacle. I plan to get more Pico remotes and Pow-Pak relays for exterior lighting as well. Could have saved myself a lot of copper if I had known about these before I rewired the rest of the house! The builder of our new unit in a retirement community made some bad design choices in matching outlets and switches. A switch next to the bedroom door controls outlets on each side of the best bed location. If bedside lamps with 3-way switches were available, this would be OK, but usually results in the wrong switch being on or off. The outlet behind the dresser that holds the two lamps that provide general illumination in the bedroom is not switched. We use this unit to control a Lutron lamp switch in the outlet behind the dresser. We replaced the original 2 slot Decora wall plate with a 3 slot plate to hold the remote using the available Lutron mounting plate. To get the wall plat to mount flat on the wall, we had to excavate about 1/8' into the drywall behind the slot. The final result makes it appear as though the remote is part of the original lighting.I do not want or need the ability to control the switch using my phone or Alexa and suspect that a much simpler unit could be made for much less. There are a number of simple remote switches on the market but none mount cleanly in an existing Decora wall plate.I had multiple switches in what I felt were the wrong places. This worked fantastic along with the base to add a remote switch without having to run wires.
