Bali Women's Comfort Revolution Underwire Bra with Smart Sizes - Perfect for Everyday Wear, Workouts & Lounge

I'm at the point where I'm so frustrated with bras. Either they're beautiful but itchy, or comfortable but not supportive enough, or supportive but uncomfortable. I've been on a hunt for the best nude no-underwire supportive bra. This one is pretty good! I was a little concerned about the 'smart sizing' but it turned out fine. I am technically within their medium range but purchased a large, which was the right decision. Very comfortable. I think the band is on the smaller side, so if in doubt, go up. The amazing thing is that it's an underwire yet incredibly comfortable and does not jab you underneath at all (I'm guessing this is because it is fabric-wrapped and has a band along the bottom, which is the reason I bought it to try it out). Wow. I just got it today and am wearing it at home, which says just how comfortable it is.There is one negative, and that is that the fabric is thin and not padded and quite stretchy, so while they mold to the breasts perfectly (I'm guessing everyone will feel like it is a perfect fit in the cups) and feels supportive, there is some show-through and so it won't work well with thin or very see-through fabrics or chilly temperatures. I also expect that the fabric will stretch over time, more than a molded cup. But at least there are adjustable straps.So if you require more control moving them in a certain direction, or want molded cups or lots of lift, then maybe this is not the one for you. But if you're looking for a comfortable underwire, this is it!This is a great bra for everyday casual use---hanging around the house, running errands, working in the garden, etc. It's completely comfortable and flexible, with just enough support. I like the fact that the cups are just two layers of fabric, no extra padding and no hard "foam" structure (if you are concerned about nipple show-through, this isn't the bra for you). The sides and back have a slightly stiffer texture, all good there, and the straps are wide where I need it.This is not the type of bra I would wear for a professional assignment, formal occasion, or with a cocktail dress: it doesn't provide enough lift, and allows a little more jiggle than I want to offer in those situations. Basically, this bra won't give you a shape, it just covers the shape you've got. Probably generally better for ladies with small/medium cup size.UPDATE: I took one star off because the underwires have popped through the soft fabric on both the bras I have in this style. I admit, I am very lazy with the laundry and just toss my intimates in with everything else, so these bras probably didn't get the care they really deserved.I LOVE this bra. I have been struggling with several issues when searching for a comfy every day bra and this one addresses them all.First, I have mismatched cup sizes. Most bras don't work for me because one cup I'd overflowing or the other needs extra padding. The stretchy fabric of this bra solved that problem without bulky padding or "enhancing" one side.Another issue I have is with slopes shoulders that cause my straps to fall down. I have been resigned to racerback bras for some time, but the wide, closer set straps of this one keep everything in place.Lastly, I have sensitive skin. Most lacy trimmed, beribboned, bedazzled, foo foo bras cause me to feel like a thousand ants are crawling in my shirt. This bra is smooth and soft. With the tiny exception of the clasp causing a tiny bit of itch (that went away after wearing it a few times) this bra is THE most comfy bra ever.There are downsides to this bra. It is NOT for larger cup sizes. It just doesn't have the support, IMO. It is NOT a sexy, date night bra. At all. It is not for jogging and I wouldn't wear it with a sheer too because there is NO padding.To me, these are not bad things. I have other bras for those uses. For a comfy, every day, hanging out with the kids mom bra? THIS is THE bra.SO SAD...... I should have reviewed this back when I purchased it, although I don't think my one review would've saved this bra. I've spoken directly with Bali/Hanes and confirmed that they are no longer making this bra. I am devastated, as post-reconstruction, this is the ONLY bra that fits me virtually perfectly. I had a single mastectomy in the spring of 2012, and then had DIEP reconstructive surgery in the summer of 2013, with 3 follow-up surgeries/procedures. Because of the single (as opposed to double) mastectomy and subsequent surgeries, it's quite a challenge to find a bra that fits both sides. It's not just about cup size, but some structural differences in my body as well (if you've had the surgeries, you know what I mean!!). The fabric has enough elasticity to be form-fitting to EACH side, without being too tight. Other bras pucker and sink in on my "bad" side, but this one sticks with me!! The wires in other bras also hit my ribs on the bad side and can be painful - with this bra, the wires don't dig - just be sure you're ordering the right size. I've purchased this in almost every color they make, and am trying to buy up as much stock as possible until it's truly gone - just waiting for the right prices!I have worn this bra before and really liked it. I was disappointed that it was too small. According to the size chart it should have fit. I would have liked to have exchanged it for a bigger size, but I did not know how to do an exchange, so I sent it back. I will probably just re order. Unfortunately, I could no longer read the size on my old one. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that from experience I know that this bra did not have quite enough support for a larger girl like me, but it is so comfortable that I wore it a lot around the house all the time.
