I got this dog coat for my 7 lb Yorkshire Terrier and my 7-1/2 lb Maltese mix. They are warm, flannel lined puffy coats in a size 12 and fit perfectly. The high collar slips over the head to keep the neck and head warn but does not cover like a hood. The front flap goes under the chest and belly and attaches to each side with sturdy velcro. The length fits perfectly to the tail and keep them warm. I had purchased the light green coat 2 years ago for the Maltese and started searching for the exact coat this year when the Yorky outgrew his coat. These coats are well made and warm, easy to put on and have a waterproof outer layer. The color Sea Green is more of a darker blue. and looks great. Well worth the price. If your dog is more than 8 lbs, I would suggest going up to the next size. Use the size chart as it is pretty accurate. The top of the coat has a zipper opening to attach your harness clip to the leash.
