This is a decent, well made product. The markings (on my scale, at least) were clearly etched on - I can feel the slight indentation of the metal where the markings are placed. The markings are clear and crisp. The color coding on each side of the scale is a nice feature.I would suggest that the seller take another look at this page and fix some of the product photos and descriptive copy. It almost appears as if they just used the same page for both their metric and imperial scales. Some of the pictures show imperial scales, while this item is definitely METRIC scaled. I'm not complaining about the product I got - I ordered a metric scale, and that's what I got. But people might be mislead as to what they are getting - even the text has some ambiguities.I do agree with some of the other reviewers in noting that the ends of the ruler can be a bit sharp. A minute or so spent with some fine grit sandpaper will take care of this, but I think that this should be done at the manufacturing stage.
