Use either imperial or metric units; just roll and store values with dedicated keys; display shows answers clearly. Based on start and stop point accuracy and scale magnitude, most users typically experience +/- 2%-3% rolling error.

This is handy for doing takeoffs on plans. It has plenty of preset scale lengths to use and some customizable scales for when you are taking off poorly scaled plans. It has your basic length, area volume measurements, a counting function and you can convert units. There is a rubber grip where you hold it and it helps keep your hand steady. The little notch on the bottom goes just above the paper so you can get precise measurements (see photo). This version is non rechargeable and takes two CR2032 batteries. If you are unable to takeoff using a computer I’d recommend this.
