If you are considering these bulbs as an alternative to Philips Hue, then they're a great option. They pair well with the hub and handle being controlled fairly well. The process of pairing them with an off-brand hub is a bit odd, but it just takes a quick factory reset, which means turning the lights off and on a couple times. The manual that comes with the bulbs explains that, if you read it. Or, you can do what I did and google furiously until you find some vague references to factory reset procedure online.Comparing them to the market leader, they turn on and off just as smoothly as the Hue bulbs, and their colors are very vibrant.I've noticed some occasional software glitches when they're being controlled by the computer app Huetro, especially when you're switching between the more exotic colors. There are some completely different glitches when using the Hue App, so my guess is that it's something odd in the software. If it feels like the bulbs don't have a proper range of colors, then I can tell you from playing around that they definitely do, it's just a glitch somewhere along the line. But these little glitches haven't messed with my usability at all. The main reason I got them was to have a more natural range of color temperatures in my house, and they're absolutely great for that. I highly recommend them as an alternative to more expensive options.
