I love the design of this. I have a large blender but wanted something to make single-serve smoothies. Depending on what I put in there, it can be tricky to get it to blend; I used frozen bananas and blueberries recently, with plenty of soy milk, but it still took about three tries of shaking it up and adding more liquid before it could handle those. And those are relatively soft-frozen, so you can imagine that ice presents more of a difficulty. So the actual workability of the blender isn't top-notch, but with a low price and a cute vintage look, I'll use it anyhow.It's really adorable and love the small size. I find many blenders to be too big for the kitchen counter.It is quite powerful for the size. You do need to make sure not to overheat the motor if the blending gets stuck for whatever reason but just use common sense. I'm very happy with my purchase.I bought this because I wanted to start a weight gain diet. THIS BLENDER HAS BEEN SO EASY TO WORK WITH. With it, I am able to be make my super good protein smoothie every morning and it works great. I like the fact that I can use both the mason jar and the other cup to blend my smoothies an drink straight out of either one with my cup.I’m not one to buy extra appliances, but I hate dragging out my heavy blender that doesn’t work great anyway. This thing takes up little space, is lightweight, works really well, and we use all the containers it came with. Love the option with different sized vessels and different materials. Easy to clean. It’s just really convenient! Using it daily.My only complaint is that it has a hard time with ice. I make my protein shake in this every morning and it works great. It's really nice not to have to get a cup dirty along with your blender just one rinse and its doneThis little blender is a great alternative to pulling out the big giant Vitamix when we wanna make a single smoothie or shake. I love it’s retro look. I only wish the base and components were made of metal and not plastic because up close they seem a little janky. Overall really pleased with this and it’s held up so far.Really like this blender. It clicks when it’s ready to be turned on and it keeps in place while blending. Super easy to open afterwards which is usually an issue with other blenders that keep getting stuck and hard to open. Plus the vintage look makes it a great piece on the kitchen counter. Great find!I love making smoothies and hated having a bulky blender on my counter or taking up space in my pantry. This was the perfect solution for an option that doesn’t take up much space, is cute to leave out and works great!Usually reviews are changed from good to bad, but this one changed from bad to good.Decent little blender. Love that there's a glass jar included! I've used it about 5 to 10 times for smoothies, and it gets the job done. It's able to easily blend/chop through frozen fruit, provided there's enough liquid to keep things moving. It's not super loud either. I've heard the Ninja is crazy loud, but this one is fine even for the noise sensitive.Easy to clean. The rubber seal comes out from the blade holder for better cleaning. Be sure to correctly install it back, otherwise the glass jar or plastic cup will leak when upside down in the unit. Because of it leaking, I previously rated this blender 1 star. I've since figured it out and have had no more issues.I paid twenty-seven bucks, and I think that's a fair price. I probably wouldn't spend too much more than that, thoughSo far so good. Purchased it then read the reviews so im keeping an eye on it to see if there is any issues.My advice would be to leave any hard frozen items soaking in the liquid you put in the blender so it doesn't work so hard when in use. Its not a very big blender so you don't want to use it as you would with a larger higher power blender.Don't rinse the glass mason jar in hot water after using it with frozen items. The change in temperature could cause the glass to break as that happens with many glassware from time to time.It is true that the Mason jar provided is not your standard Mason jar, therefore the blade will jot fit over just any jar if it does end up breaking.I use the hard plastic bottle more often because it comes with a top to make it a to go cup.Its BPA free which is great.I dont leave it plugged in I put it away when not in use and im careful with the cord.And I make sure I take the blender cup off once I'm done using it before unplugging it. Also I don't plug it in a outlet with any other appliances.As I said so far so good, treat it well and use it properly and keep in mind it's not a a big blender so don't use it like you would with something more high powered.It blends great, just take care of it.If something happens to it thats not from any fault of your own , well then. Cest la vie. Buy something eles that fits your needs. Trial and error. Nothing is perfect .Returning it or getting your money back may be a hassle, so don't waste your sanity on blender.Bought one from the Amazon Warehouse deal. The item looked great aesthetically, but the blade base is stuck and no matter how hard I try to turn it, it is stuck to the mason jar. Thus, I cannot use it at all. I don't know whether this is an exception or other users have experienced this. If I have made the smoothie and then cannot twist it open as the blade base is stuck, that would be even more upsetting.I got this blender 1year ago for 27Cad and its still working.CONS*POOR DESIGNthe rotating switch broke once and i had to take it all apart and remove the switch, Now it runs whenever i plug it in.Other than that it produces burning smell when you keep it running continously for like more than a minute or so.(this started happening 4-5months ago thats when i tried calling customer service)*POOR CUSTOMER SERVICEWaited for 1hour to wait for my turn and then my call got forwarded 2-3times and then i hung up out of frustration.PROS*WORTH THE 30$It still blends everything i put into it, whether its raw oats(without water) or forzen fruits.The blender has all the features promised, looks good, but had an odd smell when the motor was running, I had hoped it was a coating or lubricant from the manufacturing process but after a mere 15 uses the motor failed completely.Amazon has taken my return but I am disappointed with Frigidaire and hopefully this was just a one off with a bad motor.
